Southern Legend Cattle Company's "Chicken Off The Chain"

He's got a famous father!  And from what I understand, he's got his father's personality, growing size and good looks.

Meet Chicken Off The Chain, son of 2007 World Champion Bucking Bull Chicken On A Chain.

This week I had the pleasure of e-chatting with David Hollywood-Flores, owner of Southern Legend Cattle Co, and the handsome bull calf Chicken Off The Chain (COTC).  David told me that he’s had COTC from birth, who is sired by Chicken on a Chain (COAC) out of a Rampage daughter.  This COAC calf is getting very big, very fast!  He’s is the size of a yearling bull at 6 months old.  David also has one sibling to COTC, a full sister named Butter Cup.

David hopes to get Chicken Off The Chain to the PBR one day.  If this bull calf grows up to be like his father, that should not be a problem!  When David first got COTC to his ranch, COTC jumped a 5 1/2 foot panel to get in with the other cows.  COTC is easy to work with as long as he’s with the other cows but as soon as you get him alone, he lets you know who is the “big boss of the ranch!”, according to David.  He’s as wild as his Dad was at that age!
