As a photography major in college, I was often told I had that "artistic, creative eye". I guess I looked at things differently and that was evident in my photographs. Even though photography didn't pan out as a career for me, I always enjoyed taking pictures on vacation or at special events.
When I discovered bull riding in October of 2008, the photography bug bit me again, big time! I love taking pictures at events. Of course, a good photo is hit or miss depending on arena lighting, seat location, and luck! My little digital camera does a great job but sometimes those bulls are just to quick to be captured in a photograph!
What I really love is to photograph the bulls in the pens. It seems when they are quiet and resting, their eyes are truly the windows to their souls. Some eyes look sad, some are bright and sparkling, some intense, some crazy and some sleepy.
The following photographs are the beginnings to my "Bull's Eye"
collection of pictures. Take time and look in to their eyes.....you
might just find something beautiful! Please enjoy...
