With the PBR on it's 3 month summer break, and not much available for me here in the Northeast, I've certainly been suffering from a lack of bull riding. I love going to live events - having that anticipation for what bulls I'll see, can I get up close and personal with any bulls, and how many rides and wrecks will there be? I truly am missing seeing live events. I enjoy going back to the events I've saved on the DVR, an occasional DVD and an Extreme Bulls event recorded and televised on GAC. But none of these fill the empty space left by the PBR break though. From chats with other fans, I know I'm not the only one feeling this way.
I'm also presently dealing with a family crisis, which has prevented me from really digging in and trying to work up new articles. Stock contractors seem to be harder to get a hold of right now with summer rodeos and breeding. So I guess the blog is taking a short break but I look forward to getting serious and researching some new ideas for future pieces, once the PBR gets back in to the second half of it's season.
So for now, I am taking comfort by spending time looking at pictures. Thinking about some of the amazing experiences I've had has brought some joy amidst the sadness. I find humor in bulls...those big, snotty nosed, grumpy bulls. I appreciate the occasional laugh and sometimes deem them "way too cute for words"! So please enjoy, with me, some of these moments that touched my heart....and maybe, just maybe, will touch your heart too.
