School Pictures

The PBR might be on it's summer break but school is in session, and going strong, at LET R BUCK Bull Riding School in Canaan, CT.  For the past few weekends, my husband and I have attended school.  Whether it is working the gates, learning to flank or just cheering on the students and bulls, I've never, ever enjoyed school so much!
It's exciting to finally see the bulls I co-own with JW & Cindi at Let R Buck bucking this spring.  They are loosing the winter fat and bulking up muscle and I see such a difference in their size from last fall when they arrived in CT.  The bulls are also at different experience levels which is great for the school students.
Bradley, one of the more experienced riders, is on SNOT JAMMER.  Jammer is the toughest to ride and he's had the most experience bucking, after JW's bull, IRON MAN, who is the oldest of the herd.

SNOT JAMMER turned into his spin and sent Bradley off in to the well.

Nate tries his hand against VLAD THE IMPALER.  Vlad is such a good bull.  He just goes out and bucks hard every time.  He gets along with his buddies and is easy to work with.

Needless to say, VLAD had enough of Nate and thankfully, jumped right over Nate's legs!

The Cowgirls are rockin' at Let R Buck this spring.  Two weeks ago we had 3 cowgirls riding bulls.  I give them alot of credit for riding and giving the guys some serious competition!  Whoo hooo...Girl power! :)

On a lighter note, during the break, BUCKSNOT found this helmet rather tasty!  He just about licked the decals right off of it!  Too funny!

Nate finally got a shot at SNOT JAMMER.  Unfortunately for Nate, Jammer got him out of position quickly and on the ground.  Nate gave it a good try!

Here's one of our gals on JUNIOR, JW's bull.  Junior is the perfect starter bull, especially for first timers.  Our cowgirl quickly progressed to some of the more difficult bulls and she was pumped up, excited to get on the ranker bulls.

A close-up of SNOT ZOMBIE and Amanda in the chute.  We have to be careful with Zombie because he likes to get all twisted in the chute and sometimes turns around 180 degrees!

Amanda gave it a good try but SNOT ZOMBIE won the day!  We're very excited with the progress Zombie is making.  Give him a bit more weight and some size and he has all the makings of a seriously rank bucking bull.  It's going to be a fun summer watching his progression!

Nate out again on BUCKSNOT.  BuckSnot is the smallest of the bunch, but he is growing and learning.  He bucked hard but drifted across the arena.  Still, he bucked hard enough to get Nate off before 8 seconds.

Day 2 of the school.  The bulls are loaded, flank straps on loosely, and they are ready to buck!

JW Gowan gathers students, bull fighters, gate and back pen hands around for instructions and opening prayer.

SNOT ZOMBIE has been good at bringing guys down over the front, and tossing them off.  Last weekend he threw in a nice belly roll in to his bag of bovine tricks!

Another unsuccessful try at SNOT JAMMER!  But as hard as Jammer has been to ride, I have managed to scratch his back a few times, and he's been good about it!  Hopefully that means he's settling in nicely and getting used to having his "Momma" around!

Bull fighter, Chris Poletti, takes charge of SNOT ZOMBIE before the student bucks off.  Chris is an experienced bull fighter and it is great when he can be at the school.

Bradley quickly got out of position on SNOT JAMMER.   With Chris right there, Bradley was able to get away clean.

THE SPOOK was having some fun with the new students. Once the rider is off, The Spook likes to stand by the gate and shake his head at everyone, proudly!

THE SPOOK provided the adrenaline rush, but thankfully no injuries, for the first time rider.

VLAD THE IMPALER is a consistent bull, easy to work with and has a great personality for the school.  He's a good bucker that students can learn on.  Amanda had a good start on Vlad but the ride ended before 8 seconds.
There are lots of exciting things in the works for Let R Buck and the new East Coast Bull Riding Association!  The first event is Saturday & Sunday June 8+9, 2013.  JW & Cindi are working hard to organize this great event, and I can't wait to see the bulls perform with a crowd, loud music and some fireworks!
Also, Lone Oak Campsite in East Canaan, CT will host a second Beast of the Northeast event, in association with the ECBRA on Saturday July 20, 2013.

I am very excited to announce the the East Coast Bull Riding Association will hold it's second event of the summer on August 24, 2013 at Foshini Park in Hackensack, NJ.  I'll provide more details as the events get closer.  Please come out and support the newly forming ECBRA if you are in the area...plus you can see THE SPOOK, SNOT JAMMER, SNOT ZOMBIE, BUCKSNOT and VLAD THE IMPALER in person!

It's great to be part of this organization and I am proud to co-own bulls that help in the teaching and growing of the sport of bull riding!
