The PBR's new Velocity Tour rolled in to Worcester, Massachusettes this past weekend, and bull riding fans filled the DCU Center, to cheer on Cowboys and Bovines alike! It had been a long month since these weary eyes had seen some snot flying in person, so believe me, I was excited to see the bulls!

WHITE DEVIL from Sonny Williams showing off after bucking off Austin Meier Saturday night. |

Alexander Cardozo from Mexico rides POLAR BLAST for 82.5 points Saturday. |
Mike Miller's GET WESTERN did not allow AJ Vaal to spend too much time on his back! |
(1 of 2) Chad Van Amburg attempts to ride Mike Miller's BIG KAHUNA Saturday night. |
(2 of 2) BIG KAHUNA not only bucked Chad off, he decided to play a little bit! Notice Chad's helmet already off his head! |
NY native Carlos Garcia bucked off of PAIN & SUFFERING early, then had to escape from the bull's pursuit! |
North Carolina cowboy, Josh Faircloth, rides Mike Miller's SPOTTED JUICE for 79.5 points |
Deciding that some real "atmosphere" was needed for the Fan of the Night award, entertainer Matt Merritt placed the autographed T-shirt where a bull might stomp on it. It did! And the lucky fan took home some bull snot! |
In the Championship Round Saturday night, Jeff Robinson's GIT-R-DONE bucked off his rider then proceeded to take a few victory laps. Git-R-Done has always been famous for running free after an out. Doesn't he look sad after being lasso'd and led out of the arena? |
Bonner Bolton from Odessa, TX rides Jeff Robinson's THOMAS THE TRAIN for 85.5 points to secure the win Saturday night! |
Interesting circumstances here...Peyton Stewart rides this bull for 80 points, but is offered a reride. Had he taken the reride, and scored higher that Bonner Bolton, Stewart would have won the event Saturday night but more importantly, he would have secured his Tour Card. Instead, he declined the reride, finished second, and still has no card. |
First things first...on Sunday, I checked in with the bulls before going to my seat. How adorable and wooly is this guy!?! |
Alexander Cardozo rides JAMES DEAN from Mark Reed for 81.5 points to get things underway Sunday afternoon. |
Peyton Stewart bucks off of Mark Reed's TERMITE |
RAWHIDE enjoyed some arena time after his out. Guess he decided he wanted a little exercise! | |
Austin Meier rides ANGER MANAGEMENT from Sonny Williams for 84.5 points on Sunday! |
Snotitude shot of the day! Love! |
Virginia cowboy Brenton Chaffin attempts to ride UPPER DECK from Mike Miller. |
It was great to see The Clones in Worcester! I love these bulls! SLIM'S GHOST goes after Colt DeBerry after the ride. Colt was DQ'd for a slap. Ghostie obviously did not like being slapped! |
Scary moments for Austin Meier after riding RIGGIN' SLINGER for 79 points in the Championship Round Sunday. The bull clearly had his sights set on Austin and chased him out in to the arena, and ran over him. Austin was slow to get up but walked out of the arena. In a Tweet on Monday, he said he was ok! Austin is one tough cowboy!! |
GIT-R-DONE was out again on Sunday in the Championship Round. Here he bucked off Alexander Cardozo. And true to form, Git-R-Done headed back out in to the arena to entertain the crowd! |
The event had an unfortunate end for Michael Lane. Michael was the last cowboy to ride and if he rode, he'd win the event. His bull hips himself on the way out of the chute and Michael falls right off. He is awarded a reride and a second bull is loaded in the chute. The reride bull starts jumping around in the chute and Michael Lane dislocates his shoulder. He climbs out of the chute and has to walk across the arena to get to the Sport's Medicine room, with his arm hanging limply at his side.
Bonner Bolton won Saturday night in Worcester with 166.5 points, but did not ride on Sunday due to injury. Jason Malone from San Antonio, Texas was the overall event winner, with 170.5 points. In his post event interview, when asked how he was feeling, his humble reply was, "we're all blessed to be here"! Congratulations Jason on your win! And thanks to the PBR Velocity Tour for bringing a great event to the Northeast!
