Summer Snot

Summer has finally landed it's "hazy, hot and humidness" on us, here in the Northeast.  Not much going on in the world of Snotitude....I've been enjoying a bit of a summer break myself.  One thing I have been doing, as much as possible, is going out to visit "my" bulls at Let R Buck Bull Riding School.  ("my" = bulls I co-own with JW Gowan)
We've had brand new students, private lessons and several Sundays of open practice pens.  The bulls have been bucking good, and even though there is the occasional 8 second ride, it is funny to watch the bulls get mad and buck off the next cowboy.  I think it is good for them to get ridden every so often.....YIKES!!! Did I really just say that?  I always like to see a buck-off but what I really like is to see the bulls bucking strong, with good effort and with their big hearts, trying the best they can!

PAPARAZZI using JUNIOR as a pillow!
Lately, Paparazzi is the only bull who gets along with Junior.  It's quite funny to see them sparring in the pen one minute then sitting like this the next.  Junior seems to be challenging all the bulls on the property, but at the end of the day, he's back in the pen with Paparazzi, being used for a pillow.
2 year old BLUE DIPPIN' decided he had enough snotitude to take on THE SPOOK.  He didn't.
From what my partner JW told me, Dippin' vs Spook was good watching.  Blue Dippin' is about 1000 pounds at 2 years old.  Spook is a big boy, closer to 1700 pounds, and he was not having any of it!  At one point, JW told me, Spook's chin was on top of Dippin's head and Spook managed to send Dippin' sliding 10 feet across the arena, in the mud.  Dippin' left with a bloody nose.
Silly VLAD THE IMPALER always keeps me laughing!

Over the weekend, we had three new students, one returning student and a few experienced riders coming in to get on some practice bulls.  JW Gowan, who is the owner of Let R Buck Bull Riding School, and my bull partner, is always teaching and encouraging the guys after each ride.  I have learned so much about the sport from listening to JW during these school days.

Please, come join us for an evening of bull riding.  Feel free to contact me for more information.  We'd love to have a big crowd to cheer on these rank bulls, and the riders who dare to get on them!
As the summer continues, I look forward to many more days out at Let R Buck.  Hope everyone is having a great summer, and please check back in here as the blog will get cranking again soon!
